Test case design is a core competences of testing. Do you apply test design techniques?

The TMAP body of knowledge distinguishes 4 main groups of test design techniques, one group is “Condition-oriented”. Using decision points, and the conditions in them, we apply the coverage type Modified Condition Decision Coverage (MCDC). To test multiple decision points in a process we apply Elementary Comparison Test (ECT). Never heard of this before? That may be because ISTQB doesn’t teach it.
