The Feedback Loop from Hell
About the talk
Ever feel like your QA process is trapped in an endless cycle of frustration—where the same issues resurface no matter how many bugs you log, tests you automate, or reports you generate? Welcome to the Feedback Loop from Hell—a vicious cycle of ineffective testing, broken communication, and flawed processes that masquerade as progress but only lead to stagnation, delays, and mounting technical debt.
Too much automation, too little strategy. Too many reports, not enough insights. Too much testing, yet confidence in quality remains low. Sound familiar? Many teams unknowingly fall into these common QA anti-patterns, believing they’re improving quality when, in reality, they’re slowing down innovation and delivering diminishing returns.
In this session, we’ll expose the worst QA anti-patterns that keep teams stuck in this loop, from the false comfort of high test coverage to over-automation, testing bottlenecks, and the outdated “tester as gatekeeper” mentality. More importantly, we’ll show how to break free and build a feedback loop that actually works—one that provides fast, meaningful insights and empowers teams to improve quality continuously.
Expect real-world case studies, personal examples from recent years, and battle- tested strategies that highlight what works—and what doesn’t. We’ll explore well-proven techniques to streamline testing, improve collaboration between developers and testers, and ensure QA becomes a catalyst for high-quality software, rather than a bottleneck.
By the end of this talk, you’ll walk away with practical solutions that help transform your QA process into a powerful enabler of quality—one that drives real product improvements, team collaboration, and faster, more reliable releases.
Key take aways:
- Recognise the warning signs of QA anti-patterns before they take hold.
- Escape common testing pitfalls, like the over-reliance on automation and
ineffective feedback cycles. - Design an effective feedback loop that accelerates quality, reduces frustration,
and enhances team collaboration. - Learn from examples who broke free and revolutionized their QA approach.
If your QA process feels like a never-ending grind, it’s time to break the cycle. Join us and reclaim your feedback loop—for good!
