CALL FOR PROPOSALS
The application period is closed
This year, we have reached a major milestone in HUSTEF’s history. We are going to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Hungarian Software Testing Forum (HUSTEF), that is going to be taking place between 3-5 November 2020.
Due to the great amount of uncertainties we have decided to go online this year.
It has been an amazing journey for us and hopefully for you as well. We have seen people returning year after year and friendships being born. HUSTEF became one of Europe’s premier software testing quality conferences with 730+ attendees from 30+ countries. Obviously this would have never happened without YOU. Speakers, sponsors, volunteers and attendees contributed a lot to this success. So we would like to take the opportunity to thank you all for being part of the HUSTEF community and invite you to help us to make HUSTEF 2020 the best conference ever!
The Theme of HUSTEF 2020
Understanding the fundamentals of our profession is essential. However we truly believe hearing how you solved a problem is even more valuable for the community. Thus this year we want to hear real life practical testing stories of yours. To put a twist on it we would like to encourage you not only to share your success stories but also your failures. Other than that mind-blowing progressive ideas are also welcome. So the theme for HUSTEF 2020 is:
Share, Discuss, Make an Impact – Real-Life Testing Experiences
HUSTEF is a #NoPayToSpeak event, and as such as this year we will be covering the cost of your online ticket, which means you have free access to the tutorials and the conference. We invite you to submit a proposal and join us online this year as part of this prestigious event.

Submission Details
We are interested in hearing your experience
- in industry, case studies, lessons learned;
- academic studies and research;
- visions for the future of testing,
- or special sessions
Length of talks:
- ~ 30 mins (depend on the number of accepted proposals)
- If you would like to submit a tutorial/workshop proposal, for more info please contact Szilvia Szalai (szilvia.szalai@hstqb.com), the Project Manager of HUSTEF in advance!
Good to know
- As we would like to create a more balanced programme, we are looking for talks aimed at both more junior and more senior testing professionals.
- Beginner sessions introduce and teach concepts and skills that are needed by people new into their role.
- Advanced sessions provide new insights, discuss and explain complex challenges, and add to industry knowledge.
- Intermediate talks may address some new challenges but should be suitable for most conference delegates.
- We would like to ask you to show how you meet one or more aspects of this year’s theme: Share, Discuss, Make an Impact – Real-Life Testing Experiences. Describe a problem, a solution you propose, and what the audience will take away
- As we usually receive close to 100 submissions, reviewers will not have time to get back to you and ask questions. Whatever is included in your submission is going to be the subject of the review. Anything not covered in your submission, cannot be taken into account
- We would like to encourage you to use all the available space. Based on our experience speakers tend to include only very few details and no or few specifics. Think about your submission as a sales material, try to detail what you will talk about and also try to sell your idea.
- Just like in previous years your talk should not focus on marketing, tooling or service details. Tools and test services can be promoted in the vendor sessions organized for partners. If you would like to be a partner in organizing the conference, please contact Orsi Kovács (orsi.kovacs@hstqb.com).
How to submit
The independent program committee will evaluate all proposals. Please submit your proposals via EasyChair.
Please note that the program, including the slides of accepted presentations, will be made available electronically (video and PDF slides) to participants on the conference website.
